Irrigation Management for Efficient Water Use

The Lower Rio Grande Valley Agricultural Demonstration Initiative (ADI) is pleased to offer a
one day short course on irrigation management to improve the efficiency of water application
and use. The course will include practical information on measuring water delivery and soil
water content, with hands-on demonstrations of measurement technology and techniques. The
course is designed for anyone with an interest in irrigation management, including growers,
consultants and government/state/district personnel.
Participants will gain knowledge and hands-on experience at the Flow Meter Calibration facility
(FMC) in Harlingen. This excellent facility has a large manifold pipe system, classroom space,
and easy access to agricultural fields.
