Harvey heads up the family farm located mostly north of Harlingen. He, his brother and their children farm both irrigated and dry land acreage.

Rick's wife is Sandra Esparza from El Ranchito, TX. They have raised two children, a son, Anton Guerrero, and a daughter Zilfa Sara Guerrero.

Rick also is the owner of a landscape company, Exterior Designs and is a co-owner of Rio Grande Tree Farms. Rick also serves as Chairman of the Southmost Soil and Water Conservation Board.
